PANSA is a national network of individuals, NGOs, service providers and mainstream institutions that are engaged in the practice or support of the performing arts in all forms - dance, music, theatre, opera, musical theatre. WHERE DOES PANSA OPERATE? PANSA's National office is situated in the Cape Town. PANSA has formally constituted branches in Kw... aZulu Natal, the North West, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Gauteng and Mpumalanga provinces. PANSA is working towards having active branches in each province of South Africa. WHY IS PANSA NECESSARY? In order for our industry to grow, all the forces working towards this growth should be in alignment. As an industry voice, PANSA believes that, through positive advocacy we can achieve our vision of a supportive, inclusive, united performing arts industry which is actively engaged in celebrating the industry's achievements and that is strengthened through a growing audience. HOW IS PANSA STRUCTURED? Members join at a provincial level and annually elect Provincial Committees that meet monthly to manage the affairs of the organisation within the province. Currently, members of the Provincial committees are put forward for election onto the National Committee, at the National AGM. The National committee oversees and provides strategic guidance for the operational offices in all the provinces. HOW IS PANSA FINANCED? PANSA is financed from a variety of sources including provincial and local government, local public arts funders, international donors, corporate sponsors, and private donations and membership fees. WHAT DOES PANSA DO? We provide information and advice to members and the industry through email newsletters, our website, and Facebook, as well as telephonic and one-on-one interactions. We maintain a database of industry practitioners, companies and facilities that enables networking and marketing across the country.
