Pallett Heating and Cooling Company was founded in 1952 by Stan Pallett, Sr. Stan was a full time Norfolk fireman who worked his shifts at the fire station and then went to deliver home heating oil to his customers. In the beginning, he served the Tidewater area with one delivery truck and ran the business out of his home. While Stan, Sr. was at th... e fire station or out making deliveries to his customers, his wife Joan was at home answering the phone and taking orders. In the 70's, Stan, Sr. was contracted by Union Oil Company and Sanford & Charles to deliver home heating oil for them. Stan Sr.'s hard work enabled him to deliver their home heating oil more economically than they could. With so much work, Stan, Sr. brought in his son Stan Pallett, Jr. to help with deliveries. Following in his father's footsteps, Stan, Jr. was also a Norfolk fireman who made home heating oil deliveries when he was not working at the fire station. In 1981, after the retirement of his father, Stan, Jr. continued his father's oil heating business to service Pallett customers exclusively. We have come a long way since those days. Today Pallett is a leader in the home comfort industry. We are fully equipped with a fleet of delivery trucks and a heating and cooling service team with service vans. Our office staff has grown from a "Mrs. Pallett" answering the phones to qualified professionals who serve our customers' needs.
