Polly-Alida Farrington is a consultant and the owner of PA Farrington Associates, with over 20 years of experience providing technology related training, web project development and consulting services to libraries, library systems and schools. Prior to starting PA Farrington Associates, Polly was an Associate Librarian at Rensselaer Polytechnic In... stitute in Troy, NY with 17 years experience in reference, government documents, ILL and technology. She has a keen interest in how libraries & schools are using technology and adapting to change, and loves helping people explore emerging technologies and assess how technology can help deliver better services to customers. Recent projects have focused on developing information and digital literacy skills in library and school staff and have included the delivery of Learning 2.0 programs to over a dozen library systems including public, school and multi-type systems. Polly is the co-author, with Kyle Jones, of the ALA Library Technology Report on WordPress for Libraries and an ALA Editions book: Learning from Libraries that Use WordPress: Content-Management System Best Practices and Case Studies .
