Oxford Public Library

The Oxford Public Library has a fine collection of books, videos, DVDs, books on tape and more. The library houses over 10,000 books, and the video collection of more than 2,000 tapes goes from Aladdin to Zorro! A map and driving directions to our library may be found here. The library also offers interlibrary loan services, so if you need a book f... rom anywhere in the United States we can request it for you. Find what you need at other Wisconsin libraries by looking in WorldCat, then request items at the library. Our library receives deliveries of materials each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The library also provides free access to the Internet from our public workstations. Volunteers at the library are welcome! If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, contact library director Julia Metcalf, and she'll be glad to set up times for you to donate your time. Members of the Literacy Volunteers of America come to the library two days a week to tutor elementary school students, and Oxford Elementrary School students volunteer after school for an hour each day assisting library staff. Our library is located near Oxford Elementary School. The library has an After School Video Program and students are welcome to come to the library to view approved videos. The library has more than 1500 non-fiction books, over 1500 fiction books, more than 100 mystery and detective novels, nearly 800 paperbacks, 50 magazine subscriptions, plus books on tape, classics, westerns, biographies, foreign language books and reference books.
