From there we will work with you to customize and tweak the plans to create the perfect outdoor living space. Outdoor Environments is locally owned and operated by Dick DeVuyst who holds a degree in Architectural Engineering from Wentworth Institute in Boston Mass. He launched Outdoor Environments after noticing a lack of top-quality custom deck companies in the Kansas City area. Dick is a member of the Kansas City National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and a Certified Remodeler with that organization. He has assembled team of talented professionals includes NARI certified remodelers, NARI certified lead carpenters, and a registered structural engineer. All team members of Outdoor Environments are expert in their field as well as licensed and insured. Outdoor Environments has won numerous local and national awards for design and construction, including being named the Contractor of the Year for Exterior Specialties by NARI twice, and Remodeling Magazine's Big 50 award in 2004.
