About Outback Horsemanship

G'Day.... my name is Wayne Howsan, an Australian horse trainer. I have been working with horses for 35 years. Outback Horsemanship offers a traveling training service, where I come to you and you are able to watch and participate in the training of your horse. I got my first horse at about age 10 and did dressage and show jumping. Then, at the age of 14, I went to work in the outback, on big horse and cattle stations (ranches ), in North Queensland, where I watched and learned alot, from the older stockman, about horse breaking and handling. It wasn't long before the managers of Koolatah and Dunbar stations, realized my talents, with horses, and gave me the job of breaking the young horses, for the stockman to start using. I began to rodeo when i was about 17 and competed in saddle bronc, steer wrestling and calf roping. I moved to New Zealand and lived there, for 9 Years and rodeoed in both North and South Island.
