Our Savior Parish

Our Savior Parish is a part of the Polish National Catholic Church established in 1897 after separating from the Roman Catholic Church over the question of allowing the parishioners to own the property of the church building and grounds. Since then, we have based our theology on the teachings of the undivided Church through the first 1000 years of... Christianity. We also have a married clergy and welcome all who sincerely seek the Lord. Our Savior was established in 1916 at 5272 Chopin St. in Detroit, MI and moved to it's current location in 1970. Our Pastor, Rev. John Cramer, started his ministry at Our Savior in September 2010, and was formally installed as Pastor by the Bishop Ordinary of the Western Diocese on January 30, 2011. Fr. Cramer studied at the University of Detroit and St. John's Seminary in Boston. He has an M.Div., with concentrations in Moral Theology and Canon Law. In 2011, he began ministry part-time at Wanye County Jail, Division III as an assistant Chaplain, until 2014. Also, in 2012, Fr. Cramer was appointed the Chairperson of the Vocations and Diaconate Committees for the Western Diocese, and he serves on the Canon Law Committee as well. In November 2013, Fr. Cramer was placed in charge of the Western Diocese Deacon Training Program, and continues to serve in this capacity. He and his wife Nan were most recently at All Saints Cathedral Parish in Chicago, IL and are originally from South Bend, IN. The children are Adam, 30 of Chicago, IL; Kristin, 28 of New York State; Devon of South Bend, IN, 27 and Lindsey of Indianapolis, IN, 25.
