Our Buddy's Place

Established in 2008, Our Buddys Place is a 3 Star rated Keystone Stars daycare facility and early learning center. Our center strives to serve children and their families in our community, providing a high quality early learning and child care experience. Our Buddys Place accepts children aged 6 weeks to 13 years, with staff and curriculum particul... ar to each age group. We are also a certified Pre-K Counts center, a free or low-cost preschool program regulated by the state of Pennsylvania. Our Buddys Place is a family-owned business that was established in honor of our late grandson, Austin Glass-Hough, who passed away tragically at the age of 10.5 months. During his time earthside with us, his daddy always called him my buddy, which is where Our Buddys Place gets its name. Austin will forever be our little buddy, and we honor him in everything we do at our daycare facility. Prior to 2008, our owner Shirley Hough ran an in-home daycare at her home in Mount Pleasant, PA for 30+ years. While she has thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren of her own, she is also lovingly referred to as Gram by the children at Our Buddys Place. Our Buddys Place is an extension of our family, and we hope that every parent and child that passes through our doors has a sense of that. To us, family is the most important thing, and we hope to extend ours to you. It is our mission to provide the best care and education to your children, while also making them feel loved and supported in a safe and nurturing environment. Our mission is based on the firm belief that a positive relationship must exist between the parent and our facility. Parents are the first and most important teachers. A positive relationship between our parents and our staff is strongly encouraged through their experience in our childcare.
