Ottrey Homes

Ottrey Homes - Cobram & District Retirement Village is a stand-alone, community owned, not for profit organisation that began in 1990 by the Rotary Club of Cobram with considerable involvement by the former Shire of Cobram (now part of Moira Shire Council). Ottrey Homes incorporates a 48-bed fully accredited residential aged care facility ('Ottrey... Lodge'), as well as 42 independent living units adjacent to the Lodge. Ottrey Homes is named in honour of Rotarian, Wally Ottrey, who was instrumental in our foundation. Over the years other local service groups, associations, businesses and individuals have contributed greatly to the establishment of the Units and Ottrey Lodge. We have since become independent of both the shire of Cobram and the Rotary Club of Cobram, although continue to maintain close links with the Rotary Club. Ottrey Homes is now owned and operated by the Members of the Association who elect a voluntary Committee of Management, who are responsible for the policy direction of the organisation. In 2019 we opened a newly built administrative centre to facilitate our expansion into the Home Care domain, for which we have been granted Government approval. We anticipate this will become operational in early 2021. By mid-2020 we will have completed a major capital development project that will result in a significant refurbishment to current rooms and a new wing to accommodate a further 32 people with high care needs.Read More
