Osmania College, Kurnool was established in 1947 by a renowned philanthropist, Dr. M. Abdul Haq Saheb, M.A., D.Phil. (Oxford). It is a minority institution, recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act of 1956 and affiliated to Rayalaseema University, Kurnool(from the academic year 2010-2011). The college has the student strength of 2158(Men & Women) and the staff of 197 (Teaching 131 and Non-teaching 66). The College was conferred with the autonomous status in 2005. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC), Bangalore accredited the college with 'A' Grade ( 2nd Cycle) for a period of five years with validity from 02-12-2016.
