OSHAD has adopted a clear vision and mission to create safe and healthy workplaces for all by developing an integrated system designed to keep pace with all of Abu Dhabi government's development plans and programs, which will comply with and exceed international best practice. In order to achieve these objectives, the following strategic priorities... have been identified: Strengthening OSH regulatory tools Effective implementation of OSH requirements in the Emirate Ensuring notification and investigation of occupational incidents Building OSH capacities Promoting awareness and spreading a culture of OSH. Part of OSHAD's wider social commitment is to contribute to a safe and healthy community through its work, and therefore OSHAD has designed a public education and awareness campaign around workplace stress management, that is being launched in conjunction with the International Labour Organisation's "World Day for Safety and health at Work" which is held every year on 28th April. Each year features a technical topic and the focus in 2016 is on occupational stress and its associated diseases.
