About Open Hands Art
In addition to our camps for younger children, we include two weeks of camp specifically for middle schoolers (including those entering middle school in the fall). Each week children explore their ideas around a different theme with clay, paint and mixed media. Our indoor space includes a ceramic studio, a painting/mixed media studio, and a library/quiet space. The spacious yard has a tree house that doubles as a painting studio, a climbing tree and an amazing garden full of vegetables and flowers. The camp was co-founded in 2005 by ceramic artist, Sue Allman and painter, Page Zekonis. Alongside Sue and Page we have a camp assistant and high school mentors who help out in all aspects of the camp.
