Welcome to the Open Door Baptist Church. We are a christian, bible teaching and believing church, daily empowered by the word of God. As pastor, it is my mission to introduce everyone that I can, to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a leader, I am committed to service and helping others to find their gifts, so that they too can serve the Lord. O... ne of my most favorite sayings is, membership, with the body of Christ, has it's privileges. However, I will always be honest in letting you know that walking with God is never easy, but it is truly worth it. For it is our belief that Christ died for us, to ultimately receive a wonderful blessing and our belief in Him, guarantees us a place in heaven. Taking a moment to recognize Rev. Dr. Bernard M. Taylor and his service during Pastor Appreciation Month. This month I want to take a few moments to recognize all of those who have been on the front lines of the church ministering to help make a difference! I know that the majority of you are tired! Tired of wearing a mask and tired of not being able to worship and fellowship in a way that we are accustomed. Were tired of zoom meetings and all of the other things that go along with life in a time of global pandemic! We all need a break and I do believe that a change will come and even now it is on the way. But, until change comes, we must continue to hold on! It is essentially important that we each do our part and remain faithful in keeping ourselves healthy and not endangering our lives or the health and lives of others. We do our part by getting vaccinated and by following all of the recommendations of the science and health care professionals. And, yes, that includes wearing a mask. I wish to express my appreciation and thanks to all of those who were recognized on Volunteer Appreciation Day as well as to the many others who have continued to support MINISTRY.
