One World is founded on the premise of "cosmopolitanism" a word derived from the Greek "kosmopolites" ("citizen of the world") used to describe a wide variety of important views in moral and socio-political philosophy. The idea is that all human beings, regardless of their political affiliation, do (or at least can) belong to a single community, an... d that this community should be cultivated. Through our various activities with youth and adults, we work to nurture more effective means of global cooperation and communication. We are not allied with, nor do we represent the views of, any existing political party, religion, or fraternal/civic organization, and we will actively discourage the advocacy of partisan political views. We seek motivated and concerned citizens who understand that humanity cannot govern itself over the next 100 years in the same fashion it has over the last 100 years and hope to survive.Read More
