One Small Step

The mission of One Small Step (also known as The Bay Area Employer Work & Family Association) is to encourage and assist San Francisco Bay Area employers in their efforts to develop employee and family supportive initiatives, so that working people in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area are better able to balance their work, family and personal... responsibilities and be productive at work. Bay Area employers who become members of One Small Step agree to make a good faith effort to take at least "one small step" to respond to their employees' family and personal life needs with a new or expanded program, policy or practice. Member representatives are typically human resources professionals with responsibilities for designing, implementing and evaluating work/life initiatives. One Small Step currently operates under the auspices of United Way of the Bay Area, a not-for-profit 501c3 organization.
