The Omshakthy Group was founded in 1991. The company under the able leadership of R.Ramachanthran was primarily involved in land aggregation for both Multinational and domestic companies. By virtue of its expertise in land dynamics, OSAL ventured into construction in 1998. To make use of the land parcels aggregated over the years, OSAL floated 2 co... mpanies viz., Santha Build-Tech India Private Limited (SBTI) and OMSHAKTHY Homes Private Limited (OHPL) to pursue the development activities such as Multi Storey Buildings, Midrise Apartments, Villa/DTH Units and Budget Homes for lower and middle income category customers. OSAL holds 51% in these companies. The remaining holding is spread over promoters and their associates. SBTI was incorporated in the year 1998 to carry on the construction of medium and high end residential apartments and villas. OHPL was incorporated in the year 1996 to carry on the development works in respect of Budget Housing projects and promote residential layouts to meet the housing requirement for low and middle income earning customers. The group s interest in hospitality sector was evident with the opening of the first Three Star Hotel RR Inn in 2011 in Tirunelveli which incidentally happens to be the native place of the founder Chairman Shri R Ramachanthran.Read More
