About Lancashire Cricket Club

The LCCC Foundation has provided a £13,000 Development Fund Grant to support the Lancashire Schools Cricket Association (LSCA) to provide competitive cricket opportunities for young players throughout Lancashire during the 2015 season. The Lancashire Schools Cricket Association (formed in 1922) works in partnership with the Lancashire Cricket Board and has three main areas of activity. It organises and manages inter-school tournaments (12 in 2015) across the county. These are open to all and this year almost 100 schools are set to take part at age groups from 11 to 17, aiming to reach finals played at some of the County's finest grounds e.g. Liverpool and Blackpool. The LSCA also arranges and manages the Inter-District Competitions (24 Boroughs competing) at U11, U13 and U15 from the quarter final stage onwards and is responsible for funding and staging the finals. Finally, the LSCA's volunteers undertake the key role of managing the LCB County Age Group squads from Under 10 to Under 1Read more
