We produce the World's largest Sport Compact drag racing event, HONDA DAY, as well as a portfolio of events such as the BIG 3 (Spring Nationals, Summer Slam, and Fall Nationals), Mitsubishi Evo vs Subaru WRX, Ratchet Fridays, and Street Wars. OGS1320 was... founded by Javier Ortega who has dedicated the past 20+ years to the Sport Compact industry. Javier has played an integral role in the growth of Sport Compact Drag Racing in the US. In 1992, Javier noticed organized Sport Compact drag racing events growing on the West Coast and began to urge the owner of Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ to have a Sport Compact event. In 1996, Raceway Park approached Javier to assist the track in producing a series of Sport Compact events at the track as the Sport Compact Special Events Director. That same year, his involvement in the Sport Compact industry continued to grow when he opened one of the first import tuner shops on the East Coast, Drag Racing Technologies (DRT) in New York. In 2003-2007, Javier worked with NHRA as Executive Director of the NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing Series. Javier played an integral role to developing the Sport Compact program for NHRA for over 5 years hosting a dozen events annually nationwide.
