At OfficeMavens, we believe in supporting our local neighborhood in Brooklyn. OfficeMavens is located in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. We are dedicated to supporting our local neigborhood and development organizations. The Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation is a Section 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization committed to the economic development... of the Atlantic Avenue area from Fourth Avenue to the waterfront in Brooklyn, New York. The Atlantic Avenue Betterment Association (AABA) is a not-for-profit membership organization. AABA was formed in 1993 to address the concerns of the hundreds of people who live and work here. AABA members are dedicated to preserving the historic character of the Avenue, as well as improving our quality of life and work, on issues such as safety, traffic calming, zoning issues, sanitation, and Avenue beautification. The Boerum Hill Association is a voice for all residents , owners, renters, and business owners , interested in preserving and improving the quality of life in Boerum Hill. It publishes a newsletter; holds general membership meetings open to all; sponsors the bi-annual Boerum Hill House Tour; maintains a vibrant on-line discussion group; and liaises with community, city, and state organizations. The BHA keeps residents aware of current community issues and provides a forum for neighbors to communicate their opinions and concerns. For people who live or have business in or near Boerum Hill, getting involved in the BHA is a great way to get to know the community. The Hoyt Street Association is a neighborhood group that was founded in 1970 by Jim Vacirca and other neighbors. We are also a 501(c) (3) corporation. For more than thirty years, we hosted the Annual Holiday Potluck Dinner. We have bi-monthly Neighborhood Meetings. We created the Hoyt Street Garden (located at Hoyt Street and Atlantic Avenue) in 1975. Members of the Green Team maintain the garden.
