OffbeatTravel, publishing since September, 1999, is a travel information website introducing readers to offbeat places and unusual destinations, as well as providing a fresh look at old favorites. Our "evergreen" coverage of the destinations and hotels is balanced by our press release section, This Just In..., that provides up-to-date information o... n new developments in the travel field including new services, exhibits, and other time-sensitive information. Our professional journalists provide destination guides, travelogues, and insight into places to explore around the world, often content that is not available anywhere else on the internet. The articles written by our professional contributors are exclusive to OffbeatTravel.com. We work closely with some of the top PR firms to bring up-to-date information to our readers. We also give special attention to the press releases of destinations and groups that have hosted our contributors. We bring these articles and press releases to readers and potential readers through careful use of social media, using twitter (as @offbeattravel), facebook (we have our own offbeattravel.com page), our in-house newsletter, and RSS feed, As of August, 2017 we have over 9300 followers (and growing daily) on twitter and 1000 to 2000 readers per day of our RSS feed. Our unique visitors vary throughout the year with winter being our relatively slow season. However in July, 2017 we had 53,673 unique visitors. We have a mozRank of 5 (mozRank is on a scale of 1 to 10 and is SEOmoz's 10-point measure of link authority and popularity. It's similar to the old Google Page Rank).
