If possible, have your at hand when you phone. Journal articles are a source of recent information. Many of the article databases provide a checkbox that limits search results to scholarly articles. Articles often are available in paper format years before they are available electronically in a database. If the "Fulltext" option is unchecked, information about articles which are not yet in the electronic database will be displayed. Some of these articles can be rapidly scanned and emailed, and these articles are followed by the button to learn if an article may possibly be emailed by the OCLS staff. more Most article databases offer a "Fulltext" checkbox. Checking "Fulltext" only displays information about articles where the entire text of the article can be read immediately from the database being used. The library catalog lists the hundreds of thousands of books and e-books collected by Jackson Library and OCLS.
