About Odorite International

Provide a Spa experience with a safe, Odorite is a Janitorial/Sanitation product manufacturer headquartered in Kansas City, MO. Odorite products are "Best in the industry" and all manufactured in the U.S.A. Odorite International, Inc. was founded by Jack Kohler of Chicago, Illinois in 1934. It was initially called Monarch Laboratories. The company sold an air fragrance dispensing unit called the Lav A Dor, which forced air over a paradichlorobenzene based fragrance as the door opened and closed. Kohler installed his Lav A Dor deodorizers in commercial and retail businesses with public restrooms and serviced these customers on a monthly basis by replacing the deodorizing chemical. Odorite was the forerunner in the restroom servicing industry. Robert Demming purchased Kohlers share and became Earl Lewiss partner. In 1970, the business name was changed to Odorite of America and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. Jim Summers, a dedicated and successful Odorite distributor in Kansas City for ten years, purchased Odorite of America from Bob Demming and Earl Lewis in 1986. In March 1991, Dan Bunch with a partner purchased the company from Jim Summers. Late in 1994, the partnership was dissolved and Dan Bunch became the sole owner. Dan served as CEO Until January of 2012 when upon his passing, Dan's daughter Brenda Bunch and the VP of Sales Ray League took over the helm.
