Dr. Sharon Johnson-Eby has experience in the medical community for over twenty seven years. She is a Registered Respiratory Therapist who has worked extensively with people who suffer with Respiratory and Cardiovascular illnesses and ailments such as, COPD, bronchitis, asthma, various lung and heart medical diseases. She has also worked as Respirat... ory Therapist in Adult Critical and Intensive Care Units for Neonatal and Pediatric patients as well. She also has a Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy Health Sciences, which she completed in 2011 from Trident University. After twenty-five years she found herself at her personal career crossroads, and decided to explore a different approach to attaining optimal health and wellness. She decided to broaden her medical training and chose Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture as a second career after receiving Acupuncture for treating her asthma, migraines, and chronic pain. Three years later, in December 2018, she earned her Masters Degree at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Chinese Medicine modalities such as, Moxibustion, Gua Sha, Herbal Medicine, Food Therapy, and Chinese Bodywork, or Tuina. Sharon recently obtained her Doctorate in Chinese Medicine in December 2019. Dr. Johnson-Eby continues to work at Minneapolis Veterans Administration as a RRT where she works in Adult ICU, and on the ALS, Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Ward with patients who need Respiratory support. She is planning to develop protocols to integrate Chinese Medicine and Respiratory Therapy. She will specialize in treating respiratory and skin issues and emotional wellness, by addressing issues with anxiety, depression, addiction, and PTSD, and she will continue with her work to bring awareness to Suicide Prevention. She has taken extra training and received certificates from NutriDyn-: 48- Hour Nutrition, Mai Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture, and Community Trauma Clinic Training from Acupuncturist Without Borders.
