In spite of the label and his difficult childhood circumstances, he graduated from high school with above aver... age grades. Yet, with good grades, college still appeared out of reach financially, as his mother was forced to work two jobs to provide the family with the bare necessities. As you could imagine, there was no money left for college, nor books. In spite of it all, Lorenzo was able to earn four college degree's to include a Bachelors of Science (BS) in Criminal Justice, and a Masters of Science (MS) in Administration of Justice Leadership. Not only did Lorenzo overcome the labels and his circumstances to excel academically, he also excelled professionally. He has over 28 years of extensive leadership and managerial experience within both civilian and military environments. Lorenzo served over twenty-years in the United States Military. Having served in both the Army and Air Force. A few highlights of his successful military career, are serving during both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom, leading military personnel in a forward operating base, in the Middle East. While serving, he was awarded a multitude of medals and Commendations, to include; The Air Force Commendation Ribbon, Air Force Meritorious Achievement Medal, War on Terrorism Service Medal, War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Medal. His civilian leadership experience has been obtained in various capacities within law enforcement, on both the state and federal levels, reaching the level of Branch Chief, within a federal law enforcement agency.
