About Norshel Centre
Norshel has been around for 31 years now. We first opened our doors in 1983 when a group of parents and community leaders were concerned about the future of their children upon graduation from the education system. We started out at Norwood school with 4 employees and 1 staff. Our name came from this location (Nor) and sheltered workshop (shel). Norshel relocated to 1232 Chevrier in 1985. in 1996 the rec program as introduced followed by the summer program in 1998. In August 2002 Norshel moved to our current location at 20-5 Scurfield Blvd. There are 4 management positions. We expanded to the Nairn location.Explore more
