Noosa Museum

For those of you who have never visited us, the Noosa Museum situated in Pomona has a vast and varied collection from the past. The Museum houses an extensive and impressive collection of photographs capturing many moments of our pioneering past as well as modern moments that will one day be an important part of local history. We also have a librar... y of books about the Noosa Shire & newspapers dating back to the early 20th century. Visitors are welcome to look through the library, photographs and our historical records. Please note that fees are payable for photocopying and for any research work undertaken by museum staff. The Noosa Shire Museum is open Tues, Wed, Thurs & Sat 10am-3pm. See our Publications page for this and other local histories. January 2021: Noosa Museum is the grateful recipient of a Noosa Council Community Grant to assist in the management of our Collection. The grant will be used to upgrade our Collection Management System, support the safe storage of our collection and support the training of additional volunteers. A precious collection of Noosa and regional history and research has been donated to our library by Mrs Ruth Adams, as records and material accumulated by Ruth and her late husband , author Rod Adams, for several published books they produced plus additional heritage material.
