NMC Children's Choirs

We are thrilled to announce our return to in-person singing for the 2021-2022 season! Students entering Kindergarten through grade 9 this fall, who love to sing and want to improve their abilities, are invited to participate in NMC's award-winning Children's Choir program. We will be kicking off our return to our annual Kid's Choir Camp, June 21-25... . And, this year - we are opening up Kid's Choir Camp to singers in grades 1-9! For more information, please visit the registration page. Auditions for new singers are held in June and September each year. Auditions are only required for new students entering grades 3 to 9. Students in K-2nd may enroll in Overture, Prelude or Dolce Choirs without an audition. Registration opens August 1, 2021. Auditions for students joining in Fall 2021 will be held June 8 & 10, and September 9, 2021, from 6:00-8:00pm, and September 11, from 10:00am-noon, at Northwestern Michigan College. The audition involves singing the first verse of "America the Beautiful" and performing simple vocal exercises. Student placement in one of the seven choirs depends on both chronological age and musical and vocal readiness.
