Nightingales

Nightingales is a family run business based in Rugby, Warwickshire, which has been involved in the sale, servicing and repair of motorcycles and scooters since it was founded in 1972 by John Nightingale, with his wife, Pauline taking on clerical duties. The original location of the shop was just a short distance away on Park Road, when we were know... n as 'John Nightingale Garages Ltd'. Our company name was changed to 'Nightingales' in the early 1990's when John and Pauline's sons, Graeme and Gavin became partners. In 1983, we relocated to our current site on Lawford Road. For a relatively short time, we also had a sister shop in Daventry, but this was soon closed due to structural problems with the building. Due to the expansion of the Rugby shop, we were unable to commit the time necessary to relocate the Daventry business. We have dealt with many manufacturers over the years, most notably a thirty year relationship with Honda, which came to an end in late 2001. This was due to Honda U.K's controversial decision to only supply their products to 'solus' dealers. We felt that our customers deserved to have the choice of several manufacturers' products rather than just one, so took the decision to cut our ties with Honda U.K. Since then, the range of products we are able to supply has flourished, with motorcycles and scooters available from a variety of manufacturers.
