NEXT is the newest wholesaler of plumbing and hydronics supplies in the GTA - but with a twist. Michael Storfer and Brahm Swirsky spent 20 years in the plumbing wholesale business, building the well known and hugely successful wholesaler, Noble. After spending some time being "retired" and wondering "What's Next? they realized they missed the busin... ess, the industry, and the people. More importantly, they started to notice that Toronto was changing. Traffic had become a prohibitive challenge and the GTA was growing more than it had in years. They realized there was an opportunity to use their knowledge and experience and together with a group of former co-workers, they formed NEXT. By building NEXT on a de-centralized model, they knew they were doing it differently. The idea was simple - bring the product closer to the jobsite and save travel time. They divided the city into clear zones, opening large fully stocked warehouses - the opposite of small satellite branches -- in each one and provide trucking dedicated to travelling only within each zone. Bottom line for both customer and supplier was clear - having the right product available and delivering it faster -- saves everyone time and money. Of course the other advantage of their long history in the industry was being able to build a team of plumbing wholesale rock stars!
