Next Step Pediatrics

Margaret (Peggy) Poehlmann, FNP is the owner and nurse practitioner at Next Step Pediatrics. Peggy is a board certified family nurse practitioner who attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and has practiced in the pediatric setting for the past 14 years. Peggy and her husband have three daughters and a very big puppy named Princess Coco Bear.... The girls keep them busy with after-school activities including soccer, basketball, cross country and cheer. In her free time, Peggy loves to play soccer and spend time with her family. Lisa is an invaluable member of our team at Next Step Pediatrics. She began her work as a nurse in pediatrics 17 years ago and has spent the past 6 years with us. Lisa is kind, skilled, loyal, and goes the extra mile in all that she does. Lisa grew up in Columbia and is a fan of the Mizzou Tigers and the St. Louis Cardinals. Her favorite past times include spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities, and playing with her dog, Penny. Tara is the friendly face you will see at our front desk. She has been working in the medical field for the past 5 years. Originally from Canton, Tara moved to mid Missouri in 2003. She loves off-roading and wheeling in her Jeep, photography, and spending time playing with her 2 doggies, Mickey and Samson. As a locally owned and operated pediatric medical office, Next Step Pediatrics proudly serves Columbia and its surrounding communities.
