Aseema is an Indian educational charity which works with underprivileged and disadvantaged children in India - principally in Mumbai. It was founded by and is led by Dilbur Parekh, whose quiet determination and huge strength of character have inspired many to come and work with her within Aseema. From very modest beginnings - which involved little more than Dilbur Parekh (who is now Chairperson of the charity) teaching one group of children herself - the charity now operates primary schools in Mumbai and elsewhere and a secondary school in Mumbai. At the choice of the first group of children who were helped by Aseema, teaching is in English - to enhance the work prospects of the children when they graduate from school.Read More
