As New Vision Pharmaceuticals CEO, Alan uses his executive experience in pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device operations to drive a flexible and innovative organizational culture, with an eye toward quality, customer responsiveness and cost effectiveness. His background encompasses strategic planning, supply chain management, manufacturing ex... ecution, technical operations, corporate compliance and quality systems. Before joining New Vision Pharmaceuticals, Alan was senior vice president, supply chain, for Tissue Tech. While there, he transitioned the company to biologics, expanded manufacturing capacity and significantly reduced operating costs. Prior to TissueTech, Alan held executive positions at companies of all sizes, from successful startups to market leaders such as Siemens, Carl Zeiss Meditec and Acuson Corporation. Throughout his career, Alan has focused on improving manufacturing operations by implementing Lean, Six-Sigma, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) programs that reduce costs and improve cycle times while complying with domestic and international regulatory requirements. He has also managed offshore production in Asia and Europe, as well as directed product distribution throughout the world using cold chain and traditional transportation methods. Alans educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University, and Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola University. In addition to his educational accomplishments, Alan holds five patents for medical devices and technologies (MRI, CT, ultrasound, and PCBA manufacture).
