New Roots

New Roots has been a tremendous blessing for my family and I. Being on a limited income, and a family of five, we would not have had the opportunity to purchase all the amazing and healthy vegetables that the farmers have provided through New Roots. We have had the opportunity to try new vegetables that we had never heard of before. My children and... I have had the opportunity to volunteer and meet new people. We have also enjoyed going to the farm at the end of the growing season to see first-hand where, and how the vegetables are grown. I am so grateful for this organization and hope that it continues moving forward. This last year I was not able to volunteer as much, due to having to go back to work; but I hope to volunteer again in this next coming season. Thank you for all you do! Getting my veggies has never been so fun or festive! The demonstration dish was helpful, as were the knowledgeable volunteers. The feeling of community fostered at events was just great. I think they do a really good job of creating a welcoming environment that makes it easy for new shareholders or people passing by to stop, ask questions, try new things, and get involved. I think the volunteer process has gotten to be very smooth overall. I also like how multiple reminders through email and social media are sent every week.
