New Beginnings Custom Homes is a Division of Charleston based New Beginnings Construction LLC. A well established Licensed General Contractor founded by Bobby and Sue Wessel in 2007. Shortly after establishing the business came the collapse of the financial markets and the resulting tsunami brought the real estate markets to a complete halt. In ord... er to enable their new business to survive the ravages of the resulting five years of recession, the Wessel Team abandoned their original custom home construction objective and focused instead on providing commercial and residential property rehabilitation, renovation, repair and maintenance services. Aided by his three sons, Charlie, Toby and Bradley, New Beginnings not only survived the recession but succeeded in expanding. By 2013, with positive signs that the Greater Charleston real estate market was progressively recovering, the Wessel team realized that there was now a growing customer demand for custom home construction at the right price! After much research, it became evident that advanced structural design and systemized engineering techniques had propelled the modular housing sector to a point where quality, customization and value rivaled, and frequently exceeded, the specifications of most stick-built homes. An almost by-chance meeting with Richard Cooper, a modular housing marketing veteran led to introductions to two major family owned design/producers of high quality modular homes.
