Here at New Antisocial, we focus on social and digital advertising on behalf of our clients. This puts us in the unique position of spending all day on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram without feeling like we're entirely wasted the day (or have become a 57 year old mother who loves every single thing we post. Such has been the case with Facebook's bi-polar algorithm, oscillating it's favor from photos to links to videos and then back again. This proximity to shifts can predict good changes and bad. Today, we think we've discovered the latter. Spartan Race is a client of ours and is used to being doused with social love. On an average day, we'll pepper dozens on posts across their profiles. This rate of posting allows us to almost immediately sense a trend or spot a problem. Today, on their instagram profile, we noticed a sharp decline in engagement. A post that would usually accrue 400+ likes in its first 10 minutes had only received three likes.Read More
