NCYRA is a nonprofit organization run solely by volunteers. The governing Board is dedicated to offering a safe environment for kids to be active in sports. We have held BMX Olympic qualifiers, Little League Championships and many other events bringing families from all over the United States to participate and spectate. This in turn can and does b... ring revenue to Monterey County and community businesses. NCYRA maintains the facility through the funds each organization contributes annually and from donations and fundraisers. We have parking for vehicles and an area for horse trailers. So come enjoy and Ride, Bike or Walk the picturesque trails around the facility. Annual gate passes maybe purchased for $50 at the ACE Hardware Store in the Prunedale Shopping Center 8065 San Miguel Cyn Rd. Manzanita Youth Sports Complex at 17100 Castroville Blvd. known as Manzanita Park, This is a Youth sport complex donated to Monterey County solely for use by Youth sports organizations and governed by North County Youth Recreation Association. The park is home to Manzanita Little League, North County AYSO and a nationally recognized USABMX track as well as NMCYSA fast pitch softball. Also operating at Manzanita Park is the Batters Box batting cages. Manzanita Park also hosts 500-acres of picturesque hiking, jogging and equestrian trails that wind around the park. In 1978 a committee was formed to create a much needed sports complex in Prunedale. At that time there was only land available, an approximate 500 acre site that was totally undeveloped. This site became the community dream location for the Youth Sports Complex. The committee met with then Parks Director, Pete Dangermond with the idea of the Sports Complex. In 1980-1981 final site approval from Monterey County officials and the California Coastal Commission was granted and the Concession agreement was put into place with NCYRA.
