Angela currently serves as an Information Technology Project Manager for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). Angelas daily responsibilities includes providing strategic direction in the implementation and management of a host of Health Informatics solutions leveragi... ng shared service and custom development technology platforms. These technologies aid the organizational mission in disease surveillance, laboratory safety, programmatic fiscal planning, and emergency response efforts across NCIRD. As a Technology Advisor and Subject Matter Expert, Angela researches and discovers new innovations that will bridge the gap of providing innovative technologies advancing CDCs program monitoring and response efforts. Angela manages and maintains a 20-million-dollar project portfolio of IT Investments center wide leveraging the Health and Human Services (HHS) Enterprise Portfolio Life Cycle standards for increasing innovation in services, collaboration and usage of shared services and exploration of potential alternatives for virtualization and/or cloud computing. Servicing the community constituents is a ongoing personal priority.
