As a Naturopathic Doctor (N.D.) and Acupuncturist (L.Ac.), I will view your condition through the lens of both Western Naturopathic Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, then blend their resources to create a program unique to your needs. Getting to know you takes time. My initial office visit is two hours long. During this time together, I will listen to your story, take a detailed health and lifestyle history, review or order the appropriate lab tests, do a brief exam, and give you a relaxing acupuncture treatment. My goal is to build a collaborative relationship with you, and coach you to make the kinds of changes in your diet and lifestyle that will result in improved health. To assist in accurately diagnosing your condition, we may choose from an array of cutting edge, "functional" laboratory tests that can detect abnormalities before end-stage pathology develops. Such tests range from conventional blood and urine tests to more progressive salivary hormone, adrenal and neurotransmitter testing, food sensitivity testing, genetic testing and digestive stool analysis. After an in-depth review of all the information collected, I will present a written Report of Findings at your second visit.
