Pastel de Nata, one of the well-known and famous pastries in Portugal, was introduced in the 18th century by the Monks of Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon. The original recipe of this mouthwatering flaky creamy custard tart was guarded cautiously by the Monks and was only revealed to five master pastry chefs. The recipe was then passed from one descen... dent to another until it was whispered in the ear of our seasoned master chef in Lisbon. The tart has received lots of international interest and with the encouragement of the local UAE community we have decided to bring in this gift all the way from Portugal to the UAE and the rest of the Middle East under the name of Nattas. Portugal has other delicious products and pastries and we have selected those appetizing and exquisite pastries and recipes to introduce here in the UAE and the region. So all what we can further say about us is Sit down with a plate of Nattas and a strong coffee, and you will understand why millions of Pastel de Nata are served every day around the world. Nattas will be the first concept of its kind blending together the Portuguese tradition and the UAE modernity creating a unique environment and feel-at-home ambience to all its customers. We are in the process of opening two coffee shops and plan to develop some more in the UAE where you will be able to enjoy our Nattas in an old original Portuguese tram from 1908, restored and brought to you by us from Portugal.
