National Pipe Company Ltd. (NPC) is the biggest and the first large diameter carbon steel line pipe manufacturing company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to obtain API licenses in API 5L-0140 (1980) and API 2B-0073 (2004). It is a joint venture between Saudi investors 49% and Japanese investors (Nippon Steel Sumitomo Metal Corporation ) 51% with a capitalization of SR 200 million. The Company is certified to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System by TUV last May 30, 2010. NPC is a major large diameter carbon steel line pipe and structural pipe manufacturer-supplier in the Middle East. It has an annual production capacity of 430,000 metric tons consisting of 250,000 metric tons for Helical (Spiral seam) Submerged Arc Welded [HSAW] pipes and 180,000 metric tons for Longitudinal (Straight seam) Submerged Arc Welded [LSAW] pipes for various applications.
