About Nasga
NASGA was founded in 1976 and is dedicated to the promotion and understanding of Scottish Heavy Events competition in North America and to inform athletes, judges, officials, and all other interested persons of news and results of Scottish Highland Games held throughout North America. NASGA basically consists of two people, Jim Pauli and Kurt Pauli (father and son). Here is some information about them: Competed in Olympic style weightlifting from from '68 to '76 with two Pennsylvania State Championships in '72 and '76 and Masters Olympic weightlifting from '83 to '90 with two National Championships in '83 and '88. Competed in Masters T&F from '76 to '89 in the shot, discus, hammer and weight. Competed for 18 years as a professional in the Heavy Events from '76 to '94. Professional athletics judge in the Highland Games from '95 to present.Explore more
