About Naretoi
Naretoi, together with the Enonkishu Conservancy and our sister company, Mara Beef aim to create over 500 jobs in an area where unemployment is over 75%. It has also established a community owned beekeeping project, a womens beading group, a forestry project and support for sustainable and financially viable community owned cattle enterprises. Alongside the community support from Naretoi to the landowners and their families in the Enonkishu Conservancy, Naretoi supports the Emarti Schools which are based near the Emarti village in the trans-mara district of Kenya, on the other side of the Mara river to Naretoi in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. The primary school was founded in the 1950's and currently has over 700 children, between the ages of 4 and 18! The secondary school was established by the Managers of Naretoi and opened in 2011.
