About NanoLogic

NanoLogic, Inc. is an early-stage technology research and development company. The core idea underlying the company originated in research done during the mid-1990's by Dr. Robert Schmieder at Sandia National Laboratories and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. That work involved using high charge state ions to create nanometer-sized defects on solid surfaces. During the course of that work, Dr. Schmieder realized that nanoscale structures could be created that could function as ultrahigh density digital memories and active electronic devices. Unable to find funding within the labs for development of this technology, he left the labs in 1997 and founded NanoLogic. Eventually the technology became known as nanoelectronics. Among the concepts developed soon after founding NanoLogic were topologic, which means that the computer has the same topology as the system it represents, and setlogic, which means representation and manipulation of data in sets of values rather than individuRead more

Unable to find funding within the labs for development of this technology, he left the labs in 1997 and founded NanoLogic. Eventually the technology became known as nanoelectronics. Among the concepts developed soon after founding NanoLogic were topologic, which means that the computer has the same topology as the system it represents, and setlogic, which means representation and manipulation of data in sets of values rather than individual values. The term nanologic has come to mean a combination of topologic and setlogic, implemented with nanoelectronics in analog arrays. NanoLogic had a seed round of funding, but economic conditions after 2000 prevented obtaining a First Round of funding. Technology development has continued using private interim funding; it consists of company reports and patent applications. Several products are under development, with release expected early in 2010. The products are research/development tools for prototyping applications of nanologic, particularly for simulations of chaotic dynamics and for implementing computational set theory. NanoLogic is interested in making strategic alliances for development of applications that can exploit its technology and capabilities. In the past, the Company has used equity to compensate some of its technical staff, and solicits individuals interested in continuing developing the technology on this basis. Small investors are not solicited at this time, but major funding with corporate ...Read More
