In 1948 the Maison Le Ber- Le Moyne and its Dependency became the core of one of Québec's first municipal museums. The architectural ensemble was restored and revitalized in the early 1980s and archaeological investigations subsequently confirmed the indisputable importance of the entire site. The Le Ber-Le Moyne site and its archaeological collection have been classified as heritage assets by the Ministre de la Culture et des communications du Québec since 2001.
