We initially started working on private commissions in 2000 whilst based in Dublin but formalised the consultancy in 2005 under Murphy Associates. Our title has now changed to Murphy Planning & Design. Murphy Planning & Design provides planning and urban design services to its clients, public and private sector, on a wide variety of sites, building... s, areas and proposals. We also offer heritage/conservation services either direct or via our sister company The Conservation Studio. We offer a personal, professional and bespoke service to our client and engagement throughout the project. We are able to prepare planning applications and applications for listed building consent for a wide range of proposals, depending on a client's brief, the nature of the building, site and context.Often working in sensitive environments - built, natural and historic, urban, rural and coastal, our knowledge and experience ensures that we work with clients to produce responsive and well-informed proposals that seek to address national and local policy requirements. Our commissions vary from quick informal advice, a scoping site visit, permitted development queries to small residential extensions, change of use, conversions major developments for residential use including tall buildings, mixed use proposals, change of use as well as masterplanning and urban expansion, land promotion, land allocations and extensions to existing settlements as well as development appraisals and assessments. We also advise on permitted development, certificates of lawfulness and enforcement cases as well as appeals. If planning and/or listed building consent is refused, we can review and lead the process through the most appropriate approach - Written Reps, Informal Hearing or Public Inquiry and ensure that statutory timescales are adhered to.
