About MUJHU Care
Established in 1988 with funding from Columbia University, the MTCT-Plus program at MU-JHU aims to serve women who have been screened by the PMTCT program at Mulago Hospital or participated in perinatal studies at MU-JHU. The program aims to extend the reach of MU-JHU from simply serving women to providing comprehensive care to the entire family. HIV-infected women screened at antenatal clinics at Mulago Hospital are provided counseling and registration through PMTCT and then referred to MTCT-Plus to be screened for eligibility. If eligible, MTCT-Plus offers them Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) and medical and psychosocial support for themselves and their family.Explore more
