In March 2000, the not-for-profit MRDC was created by the joint activity of the UNDP, WHO and World Bank and charged with protecting internationals and diplomatic missions from substandard care. The MRDC was established using the absolute best talent and infrastructure elements of the Albanian system and merging them with international talent and s... tandardization. The MRDC was granted access to all major medical centers in the State and Private guided only by the best interest of patient and parent mission/industry. The MRDC grew to take the global medical response for major industry in the country, growing to manage multi-stage level 1 trauma requiring an international coordinated air evacuation - exceeding expected results. In 2010, the MRDC entered Kosovo with Macedonia repeating the same success, always working for the best for the patient unencumbered by financial conflicts of interest. In 2013, we presented at an international conference in Kenya, showcasing our global medical response. This translated into a regional office being created in Nairobi. In 2014, we opened a emergency medical center that meets the needs of nationals and internationals with air evacuations to Nairobi. In 2015 We opened our surgical center that responds to level I & II trauma for internationals and humanitarian operations for the nationals (South Sudan).Read More
