We also provide music lessons on many instruments plus rentals and professional repairs. Mountain Music began as a bluegrass musical instrument store focusing strictly on acoustic stringed instruments like guitars, banjos, mandolins, ukuleles, fiddles, and upright basses. This filled a void in the Chattanooga market for instruments that couldn't be found elsewhere. Over time, the store grew and the original owner decided to retire. In 2010, the store ownership changed hands. The new owner quickly realized that as other area music stores were closing, the options to Chattanoogans for instruments were dwindling.
