Morganite Crucible Limited, is based in Norton, Worcester, in the UK, and has been at this site since 1939. Just a short drive from Junction 7 off the M5 motorway, we are based right in the heart of England. The level of expertise at Morganite goes back to the 1850's when six Morgan brothers started manufacturing crucibles at Battersea, London. By... the beginning of the 20th Century, our crucibles, refractories and furnaces were feeding the world's ever-increasing demand for top quality ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Now, as we move into the 21st Century, Morganite is still developing products to help customers attain the metallurgical quality and levels of metal production they need, with maximum efficiency and economy. Together, with our Research & Development department we carry out innovative long term research which will benefit our customers well into the future. Morganite's products play a vital role in the melting of most molten metals, including aluminium, copper and their alloys, precious metals, other non-ferrous metals and iron. We currently make a wide range of high performance silicon carbide and clay graphite crucibles, which span temperatures from 400C to 1,600C. Together with an extensive range of accessories, such as ladle bowls, tubes and launders, our crucibles meet the most demanding metal casting duties in modern foundries. We also offer a range of furnaces to meet tomorrow's operational and environmental criteria. The Morgan range uses a variety of different fuel types, including gas/oil fired, electric and dual energy bale out furnaces, as well as a regenerative gas-fired tilting furnace. Refractory baths and holding furnaces, plus heated transport ladles complete the range up to a capacity of ten tonnes.Read More
