Montgomery Early Learning Centers (MELC) mission is to help families thrive by providing safe, convenient, and highest quality learning opportunities and care for children in Greater Philadelphia. MELC programs offer a safe and nurturing environment, qualified staff, and age appropriate curriculum to encourage learning, development, and growth duri... ng the most important years of a childs life. Since our inception, our commitment to excellence is nationally recognized by multiple agencies including: NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), NAA (National Afterschool Association) and COA (Council on Accreditation). In addition, all of our early childhood and school age centers have achieved a STAR 4 rating (out of 4) in Pennsylvanias Keystone STARS program. This program rates quality based on staff education, learning environment, leadership and management, and family and community partnerships. Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs are comprised of infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-k classrooms including Early Head Start and Pre-K Counts to ensure kindergarten readiness for every child. School Age programs provide before and after school care to children in the Colonial and Pottstown school districts. MELCs Wynnewood Center also offers Full Day Kindergarten, Kindergarten Enrichment, and Before and After School programs. Unique to a child care provider, MELC has our own professional development and technical assistance unit, Professional Development (PD) Dimensions. The assistance provided by PD Dimensions ensures that our teachers have all of the current tools and resources to provide the highest quality of care and education to our children.
